I like to sit in this spot at the ranch and read a book. It's nestled near some cedar trees and cactus, on the edge of the bluff....a slight breeze blowing and when the Algerita is blooming the scent is heavenly. Sighhh

This baby donkey was just amazing. I'd never seen or touched one before. Her head is so much bigger than the rest of her. She was soft, it felt like velvet. And those eyes...big as saucers. She followed us around the shop just like a puppy. I want one :)

January 13, 2011 ... Mistletoe
Just beautiful...growing in the Mesquite and Elm trees. This was an unusually large bunch with berries. I sent part of this bunch to my sister in Michigan. She has a thought about selling little bunches of it after we preserve and bag it. Would be a fun little money maker project.

This was our New Years Day Cherry Pie. Made with Pillsbury refrigerated pie crust and Baker Brand Cherry Pie filling in a glass jar. Was sooooo very good.

Years ago my sister painted. This is what our grandparents garage looked like at Christmas time. They sold Christmas Trees & Wreaths for over 40 years. They opened each year the day after Thanksgiving. Everyone in the family worked with them at one time or another. It was fun...family...good food...snow...happiness.

This was going to be a wine cabinet...I've changed my mind. I think I'll paint it a color that resembles Eggnog and use it to display/store my pretty bowls & cookbooks.

As soon as we had a bright, semi warm day...I washed the pillows and mattress pad, took them out to the ranch to hang on the line. Nothing like the smell of sunshine when you lay your head down at night.

I so want this fireplace...I wish I could just pick it up and move it into a kitchen. Can you feel the warmth it would bring on a cold winter morning? I wanna sit there and drink my coffee...

When I saw this canoe at our friends house...I could hear laughter, I could see their twin grandsons paddling around the pond, enjoying each other and making wonderful childhood memories.
